Qualifications:

Programming I is an introduction to problem-solving concepts and program design. Topics covered include top-down design with a structured programming language, bottom-up testing, control statements and structured data types. No prior knowledge of programming is required. The language for the course is Python. This is a 4 unit undergraduate course.

This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus during the 2023 Fall term on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:50 - 11:30 am.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in Computer Science. Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience with online/hybrid instruction. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught CS 021.

This position requires all coursework to be performed in the state of California.
