Summary

The Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Evaluation and Assessment at the BCM campus in Temple, Texas, and in collaboration with medical school leadership, faculty, and professional staff. Work will include collaborative setup and administration of learning assessments including computer-based knowledge exams, and online medical student evaluation surveys. While faculty and professional staff with relevant expertise will contribute the primary content of these evaluations and assessments, the Coordinator will have responsibilities related to their administration. Detail-oriented candidates with very strong abilities in complex work processes, timeliness, and teamwork will be well-suited to the position.

Job Duties

In contributing to daily curricular evaluation and performance assessment operations at the BCM Campus in Temple, Texas, the Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator,

  • Collaborates with the Assistant Director of Evaluation and Assessment, and other faculty and staff, in the ongoing implementation of program evaluation and learning assessment processes for the school of medicine.
  • Collaborates with the Assistant Director of Evaluation and Assessment, and other faculty and staff as needed, to assist with report preparation, organization, and distribution.
  • Serves as an NBME Proctor, and contributes to the administration of NBME examinations, and other exams as assigned, for the School of Medicine.
  • Contributes to the team’s setup and administration of meetings, as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with the Assistant Director of Evaluation and Assessment and other medical school faculty and staff to improve processes for the administration of evaluations and assessments such as knowledge and skills examinations.
  • Works directly with other teams from the medical school – e.g. Curriculum Office, Registrar’s Office, Clinical Coordinators, Admissions, IT – to obtain student information necessary for evaluation and assessment processes.
  • Sends clear, accurate and comprehensive communications to medical students, faculty, and curricular leadership regarding assessment and evaluation processes and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s in education, health science, business, other relevant field.
•    Five years of relevant administrative experience.
