Rider University’s Facilities Management, Planning and Construction Office seeks an Administrative Specialist to provide consistent and professional receptionist services and resolve planning and construction related issues while also completing daily administrative duties with speed and accuracy. Individual will: update project schedules noting milestones and or completion dates that have changed; maintain the master project list for the campus, reprioritizing, adding, deleting projects as directed; review data from the work management system and analyze work flow associated with the various trades; answer phones; schedule meetings for managers and staff; and attend meetings, take minutes and provide typed updates.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma with 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated communication and relationship-building/maintaining experience/skill
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with an emphasis on Word, spreadsheets, Excel, Adobe (Banner preferred), and data management
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and ability to operate independently
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize
  • Demonstrated recordkeeping ability
  • Must be able to take initiative in learning new software programs
