Position Description

The HR Analyst is the primary point of contact providing support on a variety of matters
related to the Human Resources Information System. This position is responsible for the
accuracy and maintenance of employment records and job assignments and works in
conjunction with payroll to ensure an accurate and timely payroll process. This position is
responsible for internal and external operational reporting to meet the needs of stakeholders and
ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations. This position will also assist in the
onboarding new hire process including background checks, I-9 verification, and the
communication of new hires to hiring managers. This position works closely with the HRIS
Managed to identify and implement new HRIS modules and/or systems, assist with testing and
training efforts, and assumes a leadership role in departmental process improvement initiatives.
This position also assists with various employee recognition and employee service programs.
Other projects/duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years of office experience preferable in Human
Resources or a similar administrative role involving data maintenance,
optimization, and integrity. Knowledge of Banner HRIS is preferred
but not required, along with a good understanding of general human
resource policies, practices, and procedures relating to privacy and
confidentiality. Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical
skills are crucial for this position, as well as a strong aptitude for
problem-solving and using sound judgment. This position requires
demonstrated strong multi-tasking ability and project management
ability/skills. The position should have intermediate proficiency in the

Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and
the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a
fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential,
with the ability to facilitate discussions with all levels of the university
community. Being highly customer service-oriented and creating a
positive and meaningful customer experience is also critical to the
success of this position. A degree in a relevant field may substitute, in
part, for the work experience requirement.
