Per course adjunct faculty for the Counseling program's course, COUN 248-02.

This course is an exploration of the individual and family life cycles, emphasizing the contextual relevance of history, culture, ethnicity, class, religion, and gender. The major traditional and more recent developmental theories, including those of Robert Kegan and Relational Cultural Therapy, are examined, with an emphasis on relevant research and their applicability to both genders and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Influences of developmental issues on individuals and family relationships are addressed. Clinical implications are identified and considered.
