Job Summary
The Instructional Systems Analyst (ISA) Ill is an experienced, senior level IT and educational technology expert with the ability to blend traditional IT and educational technology acumen with pedagogical passion and knowledge of the medical curricula and modern/evolving academic technologies to successfully implement the Vice Dean's vision for transforming medical curricula through the purposeful and successful infusion of academic technology. The ISA should be able to transforming the Vice Dean's vision into an operational reality by developing, implementing, and supporting both strategic and tactical plans. The ISA is a member of the academic technology department for the Medical College of Georgia and serves as one of the primary academic technology consultants to the MCG leadership. The ISA coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of academic technology and classroom support for MCG in Augusta to ensure that the IT find academic technology services provided MCG are in alignment with the priorities of the College and the vision and standards of IT executive leadership.

Responsibilities
The job duties include, but are not limited to:PROACTIVELY WORKS WITH MCG FACULTY AS AN ACADEMIC TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT- Proactively works with MCG faculty as an academic technology consultant and evangelist. Will assist the faculty member in determining the optimum use of academic technologies and pedagogical theory to solve instructional problems, regardless of delivery method. Will coordinate and monitor technical support for a range of instructional technologies supported by ITS. Will work closely with faculty members, teaching assistants, and others responsible for the delivery of instruction with the integration of technology into courses delivered online on-campus, and to remote campuses. The individual will respond to instructional technology support requests from students, instructors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. The individual wiII develop and deliver information and instruction about the use of relevant technologies specific to MCG curricula. Will serve faculty at all MCG locations (in Augusta and remote sites).FACILITATE THE CONCURRENT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIPLE ONLINE/HYBRID COURSES- Facilitate the concurrent design and development of multiple online/hybrid courses while promoting faculty members. Engagements with the course development process and ensuring the use of instructional design best practices a d adherence to quality standards. Collaborate and consult with faculty on the effective use of instructional design strategies, web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and instructional software and systems for online course development. Collaborate with the faculty members to ensure instructional integrity of the course development projects through a method of systematic design and clear course standards and objectives. Serve as a member of a course development team, which may include subject matter experts, faculty project managers, multimedia specialist, course developers, etc. Maintain a collaborative relationship and open communication with the team. Research, evaluate and integrate new and emerging educational technologies for improving student learning within online courses.COORDINATES AND FACILITATES SUPPORT- Coordinates and facilitates support across a wide variety of academic and information technologies through monitoring support tickets; providing problem determination and resolution on both functional & technical issues; consulting with programmers, database administrators, systems administrators as required to resolve issues; participating in user group meetings, identifying training & workshop topics, and acting as one of the primary analyst or the department.PROVIDES ADMINISTRATION & HANDS-ON END USER SUPPORT- Provides administration and hands-on end-user support of AU's academic technology systems including but not limited to; simulation learning management system, simulation lecture capture, digital media delivery, testing and evaluation, and related enterprise digital media, web & mobile enabled instructional technologies.BACK-UP TO AU'S ACADEMIC TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE- Be an active member and backup to the primary lead of AU's academic technology advisory committee, administer and coordinate surveys and assessments, administer and coordinate student evaluations, participate in project teams, participate in all appropriate listservs, attend product/project events and conferences.OTHER DUTIES-Perform other related duties as assigned including providing duties listed above at times outside of the normal duty hours as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related IT field of study and 5 years experience in a relevant field of work or Associates degree from an accredited college or university and 7 years experience in a relevant field of work; or High School diploma GED or equivalent from a State or Federal accredited organization and 9 years experience in a relevant field of work.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting academic technologies in a higher education environment. Instructional design and instructional support experience. Broad IT experience including academic technologies, workstation support, server administration, database administration, or related disciplines. Experience utilizing project management software.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of instructional design theories and methodologies.
Knowledge of pedagogical principles for designing distance and online instruction for adult learners.
Knowledge of current and emerging instructional technologies and best practices for integrating with online instruction.
Knowledge of web conferencing, streaming audio and video, lecture capture and editing, file types and formats, and related software and platforms (i.e., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Echo 360, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Detailed knowledge of Windows and Apple computer operating systems.
Working knowledge of database management systems, shared and on-line data storage solutions, and backup/recovery operations.
Detailed knowledge of academic applications and systems and experience evaluating, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software systems.SKILLSProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to communicate and collaborate in any type of environment, possessing strong writing and verbal communication skills.ABILITIESAbility to apply good instructional design principles in designing and developing online instruction.
Proven ability to continually adapt and learn new procedures, systems, and software applications in dynamic higher education environments.
Ability to accept guidance from persons with more experience and provide productive assistance to colleagues.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F *Work outside normal business hours may be required*

Pay Grade: 20

Salary: Minimum $55,869.00/annually - $70,508.19/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
