Job Summary
Job ID: 251805Position: 40048459 Reporting to the Director of Reese Library, the Student Success Librarian is charged with enhancing the information literacy program for undergraduate core courses, and reporting Student Learning Outcomes' assessment information related to the program. A key aspect of this position is expanding the program and communicating its effectiveness to stakeholders. The Student Success Librarian works collaboratively with other library staff, liaison librarians, Directors, and the Dean to develop and implement the Augusta University Libraries' outreach, marketing, and community engagement priorities. This position has an academic rank of Instructor and is a non-tenure track position.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to: Develop and expand first- and second-year student engagement initiatives, including scheduling, teaching, and assessing information literacy programs for those students (ENGL 1101, ENGL 1102, COMM 1110, etc.).Develop and evaluate tools to measure library faculty and staff's impact on student learning objectives.Report data on library instruction, reference, and research activities to appropriate stakeholders.Provide reference/research assistance both in-person and virtually.Coordinate and participate in libraries' outreach activities.Coordinate monthly/programmatic libraries' displays.Actively participate in community outreach programs.Lead libraries marketing initiatives.Identify, develop, and enhance collection areas of strength to support current and future teaching and research needs.Seek innovative methods to engage with students, faculty, and the CSRA community.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in library science from ALA accredited program OR receipt of a degree by June 30, 2023. This is a three-year limited-term position with the possibility of permanent status dependent upon the successful implementation of student success initiatives. Ability to collect and report on statistical data. Organizational and analytical skills. Ability to foster and develop collaborations with partners within and outside of the library organization. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Dedication to the principles of diversity, equity, an inclusion as part of a university culture that fosters equitable access to opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications
Record of providing library instruction to individuals and groups.
Record of creating library exhibits and providing programming for assessment.
Experience working effectively with diverse user groups.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Salary: Minimum $61,000.00/Annually This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
