Job Function:

Coordinate the planning and implementation of office operations needed to efficiently execute programs and initiatives in the Miller College of Business Undergraduate Programs area; includes supervising support staff for the office; ability to work flexible hours. May occasionally require work at events evenings and weekends.

Minimum Education:

Associate's degree or the equivalent of two years of additional experience will be accepted in lieu of an associate’s degree.

Minimum Experience:

At least one year of office or related experience; supervisory experience.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in a college or university office; Sitecore proficiency; familiarity with Adobe and Banner; advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and report to the Miller College of Business (MCOB) Dean’s Office on performance measures/statistics for undergraduate students; gather and report data required for MCOB and university functions as needed.

  • Primary supervisor for student employee(s) and/or support staff. Assign and review work; make recommendations in all areas related to supervision including, but not limited to: interviewing and selection, compensation, onboarding, training, discipline, performance appraisal, and career development.

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of services to Miller College of Business students, faculty members, and administrative staff; organize and coordinate office operations and procedures in order to ensure services are completed efficiently and in a timely manner; provide strategy for front desk logistics and work prioritization.

  • Provide administrative support for the Executive Director of Student Outcomes, Student Services, and Student Success and Retention.

  • Provide on-site support at MCOB, Miller Business Honors Program, and other Undergraduate Programs events as needed, including occasional evening or weekend events.

  • Maintain staffing documentation for Undergraduate Programs as the office liaison with Human Resources; coordinate time sheet/Kronos reporting for Undergraduate Programs staff, professional staff, and student employees.

  • Plan and budget for the needs of the Undergraduate Programs office; monitor expenditures for all accounts assigned to the department; coordinate travel arrangements for all professional employees; inventory and purchase departmental supplies and technology as needed.

  • Update Undergraduate Programs websites; includes Business “Success” site containing course listing, degree requirements and eight semester plans using Word, Adobe, and Sitecore.

  • Provide secretarial support for committees and/or advisory boards; secure location for meetings; communicate the agenda with the committee members.

  • Manage curriculum strategy proposals via Watermark and Scholarship Authorization Forms for appropriate processing.

  • Coordinate MCOB Scholarship process under the guidance of the Director of Student Services and/or the Executive Director of Student Outcomes.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
