Job Description

Are you an experienced and ambitious researcher looking to tackle one of the UK’s biggest challenges? Do you have an interest in nuclear fuel and waste management? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

We are seeking a Research Fellow to work in the School of Chemical and Process Engineering (CAPE), on knowledge capture and translation of uranium extraction work carried out under Phase 2 of the UK Government’s Nuclear Innovation Programme on recycling (run through BEIS).

During the programme, a series of experiments on extraction of uranium were carried out. Further analysis is required of this data to translate the results into engineering scale up correlations. Modelling work using CFD and other techniques is underway that will need this data for validation. The end point of the task will be a database of results linked to a process model.

We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
