This position will be reporting to a PI/Supervisor who is a Professor at the University of Chicago. The lab’s research focus is on using patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC)-derived neurons and brain organoids models to study the molecular and neurobiological basis of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders (Forrest MP. et a., Cell Stem Cell. 2017; Zhang S. et al., Science. 2020; Kozlova A. et al., Am J Hum Genet 2022 ). The laboratory work will involve iPSC neural modeling, single cell RNA-seq and ATAC-seq, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, CRISPRi/a for gene perturbation, scaled morphological and electrophysiological analyses of neurons and brain organoids.
