Job Description

Summary

A laboratory Helper position is open in a lab studies adipose tissue biology utilizing a combination of cell and molecular biology techniques, sequencing, and animal models. The laboratory helper will assist the lab members with performing assigned research experiments and help the principal investigator organize the lab supplies and manage overall maintenance of the laboratory. In doing so, the helper will gain laboratory experience and scientific knowledge on adipose tissue biology and metabolism. Laboratory training will be provided.

Job Duties

  • Assists with assigned research experiments.
  • Assists with mouse colony management.
  • Performs PCR genotyping of the mice.
  • Prepares standard solutions and culture media.
  • Organizes and maintains stock of lab supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.
