The Writing Program at Georgetown University invites applications for Writing Center Director, a three-year renewable, full-time non-tenure-line position that begins August 1, 2023. While the Writing Center Director will be an Assistant Teaching Professor within the Department of English, they will work directly in the Writing Program and lead a Writing Center that provides in-person and online peer tutoring to undergraduate and graduate students from across Georgetown’s main campus. The successful candidate will join a Writing Program that is responsible for the University’s first-year writing requirement, its writing-in-the-disciplines requirement (called Integrated Writing), and an expanding portfolio of writing courses, programs, and initiatives.

Qualifications
a PhD in Writing Studies, English, or a related field (PhD in hand by June 2023)
a strong record of Writing Center leadership
a strong record of teaching writing
evidence of scholarly engagement with Writing Studies, preferably Writing Center scholarship
