Position Description

Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), seeks an individual for the position of Head Coach for Women’s Lacrosse. The position will plan and organize all phases of this start-up NCAA Division I program that will begin competition during the 2023-24 academic year. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, recruiting, scouting, player development, practice planning, game planning, fundraising, community outreach, academic advising, and overseeing program assistants.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three to five years of experience in coaching women’s lacrosse
  • Ability to recruit, instruct, and motivate college-age student-athletes in the sport of women’s lacrosse
  • Well organized
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and computer skills
  • Strong recruiting contacts in the Northeast region and beyond
  • Strong knowledge and willingness to comply with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Master’s degree
  • Collegiate coaching experience
