A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jeongwu Lee in the Department of Cancer Biology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. Our lab uses a combination of cell biology, genomics and molecular biology to identify pathways critical for cancer progression and treatment resistance with an ultimate goal of developing effective therapeutic strategies. Our lab’s recent focus is to interrogate the roles of senescence in glioblastoma progression and radiation resistance, and to develop novel therapeutic approaches. This project will likely provide a launching point for multiple new research directions in various aging-associated pathologies. Individuals with experience in primary cell culture and a strong background in one or more following areas-molecular biology, neuroscience, genetics, and/or biochemistry- are encouraged to apply. The applicant will be expected to take a lead role in data generation, analysis, interpretation, and manuscript preparation. A collaborative and collegial work ethic, a strong commitment to research, and outstanding communication skills are required. If interested, please send your curriculum vitae, a cover letter, and contact information for 3 references to Jeongwu Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org).
