Summary

The Business Operations Coordinator position within the Human Genome Sequencing Center (HGSC) will provide administrative support for the HGSC research and clinical labs. This role will also assist in the development of procedures. In addition, this position will assists in training sessions related to the needs of the program and assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

Job Duties
  • Schedules and organizes appointments, meetings, conferences, or other special events.
  • Maintains regulatory files.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures; develops standard operating procedures for all activities within the program;  
  • Updates procedures according to changes in clinical or laboratory practice or regulations.
  • Assists in training sessions related to the needs of the program.
  • Coordinates training requirements for Baylor College of Medicine and sub-contract sites.
  • Provides additional support to faculty members as needed.
  • Composes formal and informal correspondence including, but not limited to, creating and formatting presentations.
  • Creates cash and check requests.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of required experience.
