Job Description

Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Compliance Officer and/or Compliance Director, assists in coordination and administration of various compliance functions.

Job Duties
  • Conducts and reports on routine privacy monitoring of access to ePHI through use of various tools, including, but not limited to FairWarning Software, EPIC, SAP Success Factors LMS, IDM.
  • Assists in investigation and resolution of alleged HIPAA privacy violations in accordance with Federal and state laws and BCM policies.
  • Conducts and reports to Department leadership on On-Site Privacy audits findings and creates and tracks Corrective Action consistent with BCM Privacy Policies
  • Drafts and updates Compliance and HIPAA Privacy policies under supervision of Compliance Director
  • Assists in development of educational materials and presents education on various Compliance and Privacy Compliance topics to BCM leadership and Departments.
  • Triages and routes all BCM Integrity Hotline incidents to proper Department Liaisons including developing workflows and process'.   
  • Creates reporting metrics for Compliance Director and BCM Compliance Committees based on data received from various business units from incidents reported to the Integrity Hotline and Outside the Hotline  
  • Supports Senior Compliance Specialists in managing Disclosure of Outside Interest (DOI) Interest submissions and communications 
  • Manages review of Sanction Check reports and prepares yearly reporting for BCM Compliance Committees.  
  • Assists in the development, update, and implementation of compliance and HIPAA policies.  
  • Conducts research and provides written guidance on BCM compliance and privacy standards to Departments.
  • Manages contract and communications with external vendor used for privacy monitoring activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or  related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
