Immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Gupta Laboratory in the Department of Inflammation and Immunity at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. Individuals with demonstrable experience in mechanistic immunology research, B cell biology, mouse models of autoimmunity and/or inflammation and/or infection, and a strong record of publication are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will design, implement and manage exciting research projects addressing the regulation of B cell antibody response during infection and inflammation.
Must be proficient in immunological techniques (multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA), cell culture, and molecular biology methods (western blotting, quantitative PCR, lentiviral gene expression, and CRISPR/Cas9 gene modification). Prior experience in murine lung and colon isolation and analysis is an advantage, as is cellular imaging. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The appointee will be expected to take advantage of this career opportunity to further develop skills in manuscript publication and grantsmanship.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or an M.D.,Ph.D degree in immunology, with strong motivation, a passion for science, ability to work as a team and design experiments independently, and a strong work ethic.
