Job Description

Position Purpose
The Administrative and Academic Assistant is responsible for general administrative support of core office operations, systems, and processes; responsible for specific academic administrative support for various student programs.

Required Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of three years of experience at an equivalent level or responsibility.
Strong organizational skills and ability to independently set priorities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent judgment in and ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
Proficient with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), and ability to learn other computer applications as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with students.
• Interest in international affairs and/or international experience.
• Financial accounting (including work with Oracle-based financial systems).
• Experience with database software and other College systems (e.g., FileMaker, Banner)
