Job Purpose

The goal of Baylor College of Medicine Ventures (BCM Ventures), Baylor's commercialization team, is two-fold: To maximize the impact of the innovative enterprise at the College by supporting the development and commercialization of the Baylor's intellectual property assets into products and services that benefit the public, and, to foster the development of a culture of entrepreneurship where commercialization is viewed as a natural extension of the College's  mission.

This position will oversee the operations of the unit and support the development and implementation of strategic plans in areas such as finance, clinical operations, process improvement, research administration, and business development and expansion.

Job Duties
  • Provides data support to leadership for policy formulation and planning decisions.
  • Develops and implements planning measurement standards and operational indicators.
  • Develops project plans and budgets, monitors and tracks progress, and conducts post-project evaluation.
  • Evaluates goals and strategic business activities within department or program.
  • Supervises staff.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Five years of relevant experience.  Degrees in lieu of experience will not be accepted.
