Job Description

Position Summary Join a dedicated team in an award-winning Adult Education program! The Taos Education and Career Center seeks an Administrative Assistant Ill who provides direct input into program development and provides a broad range of administrative support to staff and students. Primary responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to a diverse set of students and community members; expertly managing daily office operations; maintaining the front desk; resolving problems and inquiries from students and staff; entering and maintaining student records; developing promotional materials and coordinating student outreach efforts; overseeing purchasing, travel, and monitoring fiscal accounts; and ensuring the office is organized, efficient, and welcoming. This position will be a core member of a highly functioning team dedicated to student success.

Conditions of Employment
This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
●3-5 years direct experience in managing offices that support multiple-complex programs
●3-5 years experience working with diverse populations and/or underprepared adults
●Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Google Products
●Experience and accuracy with data entry and student records maintenance
●Skill in creating systems, organizing resources and establishing priorities
●Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
●Spanish speaking skills preferred
●Experience managing budget detail, purchasing, and book-keeping
●Experience developing marketing materials, including familiarity withInDesign, Photoshop, and/or other creative design products
