Position Summary
The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Molecular Medicine. The overarching goal of the research project is to investigate the mechanisms of specific small molecule CBP/catenin antagonists modulating the tumor immune response. The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is important in cancer therapy resistance, including immunotherapy. We have previously demonstrated that specific small molecule Wnt/CBP/catenin antagonists can safely overcome chemotherapy resistance (Zhao et al. 2016, Thomas and Kahn 2016, Kim Y.M. et al 2017).

Key Responsibilities include:
The current project will focus on the use of novel specific small molecule Wnt/CBP/catenin antagonists to augment immunotherapy in syngeneic mouse tumor models.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
• A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required;
• Research experience in the fields of immunology and cancer biology;
• A publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals;
• Experience with orthotopic and syngeneic mouse tumor models, FACS and immunohistochemistry is required;
• Ability to design and execute laboratory experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
