The translational nanomedicine research lab in the Department of Surgery at BCM aims to rapidly advance next generation biomaterials, drug delivery and bioengineering strategies through multidisciplinary approaches. A major focus of our research group is to develop technologies that can be rapidly translated to the clinic. The Postdoctoral Associate will work on developing new strategies for the noninvasive drug delivery to retina. The prospective candidate should have previous experience working with mouse retina, intravitreal and subretinal injections, ERG and retinal characterization
Qualifications and Eligibility:
- MD or PhD. in Ophthalmology and vision sciences or Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related degree.
- Candidates should have a strong background and vast experience in in vivo retina research.
- Candidate should have a consistent publication record, strong organizational and communication skills for assisting and collaborating with multidisciplinary groups of clinicians, biomedical researchers, and technology innovators in a dynamic team environment.
