Job Description

Concordia University Wisconsin seeks qualified applicants to teach Bachelor of Social Work courses in our BSW Accelerated Program located at the Miller Parkway Center in Milwaukee and at the Green Bay Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Department of Social Work resides in the School of Health Professions on the main campus in Mequon. We seek a mission-oriented individual who is committed to excellence in teaching. Accelerated classes meet one night a week from 6:00 pm 10:00 pm with on-line blackboard discussions groups during the week.

The successful candidate will have a strong Christian commitment demonstrated by an ability to integrate a biblical worldview integrated across the curriculum. The Department of Social Work is a dynamic and growing department with BSW programs located in Wisconsin at Mequon, Milwaukee, and Green Bay, and the campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Department of Social Work also has an MSW program located on the Mequon campus.

Responsibilities

Teaching BSW classes in an Accelerated Program across the curriculum
Interacting with the BSW Program Director for guidance on teaching
Attending an end of year all faculty meeting on the Mequon campus for processing and program development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Willingness to embrace changes in a growing department and professional school
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
Knowledge of community agencies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Committed to biblical integration in and out of the classroom in accord with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
