The Departments of English and Curriculum and Instruction at Purdue University invite applications for a position as Visiting Assistant Professor of English Education.
The successful candidate will have the equivalent of a 3/3 teaching load during the 2019-2020 academic year, including secondary English methods courses, introductory composition, and student teaching supervision. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in these areas as well as secondary teaching; familiarity with CAEP, edTPA, and English learners is also desirable. A PhD or EdD in English Education or closely related field is required at time of appointment. ABD candidates will be considered for interviews, but degree must be completed prior to start date. No committee work will be assigned.
