Job Description

Recently, it has become clear that extracellular vesicles (EVs) such as exosomes spread Aβ and mutant tau among neurons and glial cells, promoting the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease. The function and mechanism of this process, however, remain unknown unknown. The postdoctoral fellow will join a highly collaborative and supportive group to investigate the functional roles of candidate genes in cargo transport among neurons and glial cells, a project funded by NIH/NIA. Our primary experimental approach will be CRISPR genetic screens and mouse genetics. The postdoctoral fellow will receive a competitive salary and a comprehensive package of benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, and retirement funds. Requirements: A Ph.D. degree (or expected) in biological sciences is required. Experience in mouse genetics and primary neuron isolation is strongly preferred. Priority will be given to applicants with one or more first-author publications.
