Job Description

The Chasin Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University seeks to hire a full-time Associate Research Scientist to conduct research aimed at characterizing the molecular mechanism of exon definition in pre-mRNA splicing in mammalian cells. Experiments will focus on the the kinetics of this process during co-transcriptional splicing as well as determining the RNA sequence requirements needed to identify splicing sites.

Three years of relevant professional experience. This research requires extensive experience in experimental RNA molecular biology as well as facility in bioinformatics.
