What Your Job Will Be Like:

Sandia National Laboratories’ Enterprise Cloud Services department (9789) is seeking a dynamic leader to head our Cloud Security and Governance team. If you are passionate about cutting-edge cloud-native solutions and thrive in an evolving, fast-paced cloud environment, this is the opportunity for you!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Lead an innovative team tackling real-word challenges in cloud security and governance
  • Solve critical issues and help shape the future of cloud policy frameworks that protect our customers
  • Enhance and manage our cloud governance and security tools to keep pace with the latest advancements
  • Investigate and mitigate threats as you play a pivotal role in cybersecurity incident response
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity team to safeguard our cloud environment against evolving threats
  • Partner with Cyber Information Assurance team to conduct in-depth security assessments and ensure compliance

The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Salary Range:

$109,300 - $217,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity or related field plus 5 years of experience; or equivalent (Associate's degree + 9 years or no degree + 13 years)
  • Experience with Kusto Query Language
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response processes, i.e. Cloud Security
  • Experience with Cloud or Network Based Forensics
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Experience in Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with:
  • Cloud Policy framework
  • SIEM and SOAR technologies (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or Sumologic)
  • Understanding of Policy as Code
  • Understanding of Cloud monitoring, and alerting capabilities
  • Cloud Secure Scoring and implementation
  • Experience with Microsoft Technologies and M365 SaaS products
  • Experience with Cloud Security such as Zero Trust, and Assume Breach concepts
