Job Description

Do you have a MSc or doctoral level qualification in a behavioural science, along with research expertise and experience? Do you possess demonstrable managerial and operational expertise, with the ability to effectively organize, manage, promote, and further develop a newly established Behaviour Lab?

The Behaviour Lab represents a considerable Leeds University Business School (LUBS) investment in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer, so it is imperative that it is managed as an asset to maximise its full potential. The Lab aims to enable colleagues to demonstrate and innovate research designs and practices, and enhance their pedagogy. Success against these aspirations will be measured via (but not limited to):

1) Attributed contribution to research outputs - such as journal publications, and helping to obtain new research grants;

2) Providing case study examples for accreditation, Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) and impact;

3) Facilitating new research collaborations;

4) Positive student, academic, and commercial feedback.

The appointment of a dedicated Behaviour Lab Manager will ensure that these benefits can be realised. The Lab will be utilised by colleagues across the whole of LUBs. In this unique post, you will manage the operational aspects of the Lab and will also be provided with the opportunity to undertake scholarly activities, for example, co-developing grant applications and research publications. Doctoral level qualification in a behavioural science (e.g., psychology), covering research methods and ethics, you will have research expertise and experience in behavioural science research. You will also possess demonstrable managerial and operational expertise to enable you to effectively organize, manage, promote, and further develop the Behaviour Lab and its capabilities.
