Responsibilities
Assists the Facility Manager and Scientific Instruments Services Manager in tasks per their discretion. That may entail simple cleanup of mechanical areas, moving heavy equipment, and assisting HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, etc. with large projects.

Will assist the dock on an as needed basis. Will be expected to completely cover dock tasks to provide vacation and\or sick coverage.

Dock tasks include but are not limited to: Counting packages when FedEx, UPS, Staples, Amazon, or other vendors deliver. Pulling packing slips to give to Mailroom/Data Entry clerks for receiving. Delivering appropriate items to labs in a timely manner. Checking in supplies, furniture, and equipment deliveries. Inspecting incoming and outgoing cartons, materials and packages to identify exterior damage errors, defects, or problems. Coordinating with departments regarding the moving or delivering of furniture, materials, and equipment to labs and offices, including offsite locations. Making office deliveries of office supplies, i.e., copier paper, copier toner, and generic stationery. Performing occasional errands using company vehicles. May notify departments of receipt of express packages. May assist mailroom, maintenance, and event personnel with repairs, renovations, and room setup/teardown. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor


Qualifications
Must be customer service oriented with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Must demonstrate the ability to cooperate well with others, work as a team player, contributes to team objectives, accept constructive criticism, and deal with high stress situations. Must have ability to comprehend and thoroughly follow written and verbal instructions and documents. Safely lift, push, pull, or carry objects as required. Good communication skills required.
