Do you have an established background in the Food and/or Nutrition Industry? Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to teach Food Science and Nutrition students at undergraduate and postgraduate level? Are you passionate about developing the next generation of graduates into the workplace? 

We are looking for an Industrial Engagement Teaching Fellow to contribute to the development of outstanding graduates within the School of Food Science and Nutrition. You will be responsible for delivering innovative teaching and assessment in areas of key relevance to the Food and Nutrition Industry, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will contribute to the development of new teaching material, resources, modules and programmes and ensure that the Core Programme Thread of Employability is embedded through all our courses. As part of this role, you will also be the Academic Lead for Industrial Placements.

You will have either a PhD or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition or a related subject (or be close to completion), plus recent, relevant experience of working in, or with, the food and/or nutrition industry. You will have an enthusiastic and innovative approach to all aspects of student education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use technology effectively and innovatively in the preparation and delivery of blended learning material. You will also have an understanding of the Higher Education environment and graduate recruitment market, with the ability to keep up to date with developments. You must also be able to travel to partner industrial organisations as this is a key part of the role.
