Job Description

Summary of Position
This is a non-benefited position at the UNH InterOperability Lab. The UNH InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL) has been testing Networking and Communications since 1988. Fully owned by the University of New Hampshire, the lab receives 100% of its funding from commercial companies in exchange for professional and testing services. Testing services include areas such as Ethernet, xDSL, Storage, Wireless, and Internet Protocol (including IPv6).

This position is for 30-40 hours per week. Hybrid work options are available for this position.
In this position you will:
Support the technical requirements, setup, maintenance, and operation of the IPv6 test services
Assist with device review
Assist with training and mentoring new employees on test service offerings
Work with customers during the testing process to resolve issues
Assist with documentation for test tools and test plans as assigned. Suggest and implement improvement SOPs and quality documentation

Required Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent
Basic troubleshooting experience; ability to respond quickly and isolate basic issues occurring during test services
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Effective oral and written communication skills
Basic experience creating technical documents

Preferred Qualifications
Technical writing proficiency
Experience with basic Linux commands

Physical Demands
FTE 30-40/hr week
Salary Information
$20 – 25/hr based on experience.
