Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Faculty Diversity Education and Outreach for the Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement. Reporting to the Senior Director for Faculty Diversity & Inclusion, the Director for Faculty Diversity Education and Outreach is the lead staff member responsible for the development and execution of educational programming and initiatives that promote inclusive academic climates, connecting emerging initiatives to national best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion to enable sustaining community.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
• Responsible for co-leading strategic planning to support academic equity and inclusion and will utilize institutional data to develop, maintain and report on metrics of accountability toward goals.
• Develops, leads, and sustains initiatives and educational efforts that improve cultural competency, reduce bias, and promote understanding and engagement on issues related to diversity and bias prevention.
• Supports the creation and maintenance of faculty peer networks as a vehicle for focused attention to equity, diversity, and inclusion among faculty.
• Supports the assessment needs of the division, ensuring that all initiatives are evaluated and decisions are informed by relevant data.
