Dr. Xianfang Wu’s laboratory in the Department of Cancer Biology, Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated postdoctoral associates/fellows for the following projects: (i) understanding the innate immunity regulation in human stem cells; (ii) modeling human diseases using pluripotent/multipotent stem cells-derived models. These projects will involve the use of many modern molecular techniques, including in vitro stem cell differentiation, CRISPR-Cas9 mediated genetic editing, 2D and 3D cell cultures, high-resolution cell imaging, and bioinformatic analysis (i.e. bulk and single cells RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq). The strong conceptual and technological foundation along with compelling preliminary data presents a solid platform for these projects.
The ideal candidates should have a recent PhD or equivalent degree in molecular biology, extensive experience with mammalian cell culture, first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals, strong communication and analytical abilities, and enthusiasm for basic science research. The candidate with expertise in stem cell technology and mouse work will be preferred.
