Job Description
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Providence College invites applications for a full-time, two-semester visiting position at the assistant professor level in Organic Chemistry to begin in August 2020.

Essential Duties
The successful applicant will teach sophomore-level organic chemistry lecture and organic chemistry laboratory sections.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to engaged learning in their undergraduate teaching responsibilities and will be given the opportunity to participate in the wider life of the department.

Education and Experience Required
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from an accredited institution by the time of appointment and provide evidence of teaching excellence.

The application deadline is July 4, 2020. Copies of transcripts are acceptable for application purposes; however, official transcripts would be required upon employment. Interviews will be conducted by video conference. Applicants will be required to give a short (15-20 minute) teaching presentation/demonstration as a component of the interview.
