Job Description

The Involvement Specialist will work closely with other professionals on the Involvement Team within the Student Life & Engagement department to manage the administrative and programmatic portfolio. This position has primary responsibility for overseeing and managing programmatic special projects, purchasing assistance, and the customer service experience for Students and campus partners. The Office manager reports directly to the Associate Director of Activities & Programs.


Serve as the initial point of contact for student involvement related initiatives.

Plan, prioritize and schedule meetings and appointments for professional staff. Make decisions on a daily basis regarding calendars.

Compose and/or prepare correspondence, memoranda, promotional materials, forms, newsletters, manuals, and reports using appropriate word processing and spreadsheet tools. Perform basic statistical calculations on data for reports and presentations.

Manages programming calendar

Maintain social media presence

Composes and prepares written documents and correspondence for the office, including memos, letters, presentations, and spreadsheets.

Plan and execute student programming

Performs other office administration duties as required to support the mission and function of the area of responsibility.


Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least four years of experience in an office or administrative support position. Additional education may not be substituted for this experience requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, OR 4 years of experience in student involvement or a combination of education and experience.
