Job Description

Primary Purpose

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a fully online Career Technical Education (CTE) program that supports all CTE, Business Education (BED) and Family Consumer Science (FCS), with face-to-face delivery opportunities. The position will teach online and advise online and face-to-face. The position will co-advise the collegiate student organizations Business Professionals of America (BPA) and Collegiate Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (CFCCLA). This position will demonstrate leadership within CTE and student organizations, collaborate on securing and performing grants, and provide service to the College, University, and the Career Technical Education profession.

Key Responsibilities

Teach four courses per semester, primarily online asynchronous with the possibility of face-to-face, including development of CTE, BED & FCS courses to online delivery (70%);

Advise CTE students face-to-face and remotely for recruitment and retention and advise CTE student organizations (15%);

Provide service to the College, University, and Idaho Career Technical Education (ICTE) (15%).

Minimum Qualifications

An earned master’s with emphasis in Career Technical Education, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong preference given for university teaching experience, especially in online formats and experience advising students in program area and / or advising a career and technical student organization. Demonstrated leadership in Career and Technical Education and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) at the local, state or national level. Experience providing service at college, university, and professional levels.
