Position Summary:

The Department of Business at Rollins College is seeking applicants for a Lecturer in Accounting position beginning in August 2020.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position includes teaching undergraduate required accounting course for the business majors in the Department of Business. The course load is four (4) courses per semester.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The minimum requirement is a master’s in business or accountancy, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable. Some college-level teaching and practical experience is also desirable. Candidates must have the ability to develop and deliver curriculum; meet the demands of the position in a timely manner; and assess student-learning outcomes. In addition, candidates should have strong oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.

The undergraduate business programs at Rollins College are accredited by AACSB. The Department of Business offers undergraduate majors in Business Management and International Business. The Business Management major is offered to both Day and Evening Students.

The normal teaching load will be the equivalent of eight courses a year, typically four courses per semester. Rollins College is committed to liberal education and expects all faculty to contribute to the general education programs of the college. Summer teaching is available through the evening program.
