Job Purpose

This position will provide primary support for the Office of Communications and Community Outreach and supplementary support to the Office of the President. The Office of Communications and Community Outreach is the information hub for the College. We produce press releases and other materials for the news media and respond to media requests. We assist members of the campus community in sharing their news through newsletters and our blog network. Responsibilities range from managing the College's internal and external web presence to social media. We uphold branding standards, develop and implement strategic communication plans, provide graphic services, and coordinate internal communications. 

Job Duties

•    Answer main office phone, transfer calls, and take messages, ensuring that all callers receive assistance in a prompt manner.
•    Assist visitors to the office.
•    Process check requests, cash requests, and purchase orders.
•    Monitor and order supplies needed for daily operations and special events.
•    Process work orders to maintain good working order of the office, light the building up for awareness, etc.
•    Manage employee discounts, including securing new discounts, providing information for posting and keeping all information current on the internal website.
•    Process travel requests and reimbursements.
•    Coordinate meetings and assist with special events such as Graduation, Match Day and blood drives.
•    Distribute mail and newspapers daily. 
•    Assist with invoice payments and budget monitoring.
•    Manage the institution's legal ads.
•    Help onboard new department hires.
•    Manage reservation system of several College resources and locations.
•    Ensure department memberships are kept current.
•    Provide backup front desk coverage for the Office of the President. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required: Four years of relevant experience.
