Job Description

Job Purpose

Monitors one or more functions of the revenue cycle, including insurance verification, charge capture, billing, and collections.

Job Duties
  • Analyze Epic work queue data from various stages of the revenue cycle process and determining where errors may have occurred, and work with all areas to educate and prevent future occurrence’s.
  • Constant monitoring of the pre-A/R processes for improvement resolution if issues arise.
  • Support managers from different areas in the PBS to assist with any questions/concerns/projects.
  • General understanding of how various WQ’s work and function within Epic and have capacity to heighten understanding to a broader scope, and an overall understanding of the Epic application and behind the scenes build and functionality.
  • Basic rules in charge router and charge review.
  • Interface charge setup.
  • Claims Manager product for coding scrubbing.
  • Claims submission and format.
  • Attend and prepare reports for Biweekly Revenue Cycle meetings, and monthly report analysis.
  • Work with various contacts at Affiliate/Partner entities (like CHI or TCH) to gain and maintain electronic access to billing software for PBS employees, so that appropriate billing records and demographics can be obtained for patients to insure billing and collections of revenue.
  • Acts as a resource for overall questions in Sr. Director’s absence, for all PBS staff and external contacts as well.
  • New projects come up all the time and assist as needed to come to a successful completion.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
