Job Description

  • Maintains clerkship central calendar
  • Create and update program databases as needed
  • Organizes student orientation and weekly lectures (reserves rooms, organizes materials, adjusts schedule; works with Clerkship and Course Directors)
  • Liaison with Registrar office and UME Office
  • Manage program’s adherence to LCME and institutional policies
  • Manage and maintain all Clerkship and Elective Course pages on website
  • Provide administrative support to the clerkship/educational leadership Finances
  • Process supply purchases, catering and other orders as needed in SRM Training Requirements
  • Serve as administrative contact for all student courses through the department
  • Communicate all course requirements and schedules to students
  • Create and Manage student rotation schedules for all students (Medical, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioners)
  • Create and Manage student rotation schedules and evaluations in E-Value
  • Coordinate and Proctor Elective Student Examinations
  • Compile data and prepare reports for faculty evaluation completion rates
  • Compile data and prepare reports for student evaluations on faculty and lectures
  • Attend Clerkship Coordinator and Sub-I Committee meetings Recruitment
  • Coordinate with registrar office to ensure elective information is correct in VSAS database
  • Assist Clerkship Director in reviewing and accepting visiting student candidates
  • Coordinate Visiting Student Elective Interviews


  • Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant work related experience in an academic setting can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • One year experience in an academic setting.
