Faculty Responsibilities:

The Politics Department seeks a visiting professor for a one-year position for the 2019-2020 academic year, to teach classes in international and comparative politics, with a special focus on the Middle East. The position carries two courses to be taught in Fall 2019 (Introduction to International Politics and Middle East Politics), and three courses in the Spring of 2020, including two upper division International Relations classes and one comparative politics course, to be negotiated with the Department Chair. These courses can be tied to the candidate's specialty or interest.

All faculty members contribute to the mission and serve the College and community in many ways, including academic advising, student and community outreach, participation in departmental and College-wide service and committees, and the development and assessment of the College's Core Curriculum.

Candidates with teaching experience and a PhD in political science/Middle East Studies or related fields are preferred, but ABD candidates in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
