Job Description

Job Overview The postdoctoral research engineer's work will focus on processing of complex oxide-based thin-film materials into dielectric, electronic and optoelectronic devices. Deposition of thin-film metals via sputtering and/or resistive thermal evaporation, photolithography, and related materials and device processing. Device fabrication, testing and analysis will take place primarily using facilities at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Qualifications A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5 years of experience in microfabrication of ferroelectric complex oxides and their dielectric device measurement.
Essential Functions The applicant will be expected to work diligently and efficiently, contribute to assigned tasks, contribute intellectually, lead in drafting scholarly papers and reports, including publication of research results in appropriate refereed journals.
