Responsibilities:

Job Description:

As a member of the New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) team, the intern will be responsible for assisting with oversight and management of day to day operations of the office. The intern also plays a pivotal role in planning and implementation of New Student Orientation for first-year students and their families. Specifically, the intern will assist with the orientation leader training, retreat and activities; communication and collaboration with campus and community partners in the logistical and programmatic coordination of orientation events.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess strong team building skills and be customer service oriented, specifically in the areas of student leadership, orientation and parent/family programs.
• This position requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• The ideal candidate will have experience leading, supervising and advising student leaders as well as strong written and verbal skills.
• Lastly, the position requires the ability to assist in strategically and logistically planning a large-scale event with campus and community partners.
