JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Facilities Management Services department of Goucher College seeks an electrician (electrical maintenance engineer). This position will provide technical support to the campus, as it relates to the operation and maintenance of the electrical systems on campus. The incumbent will maintain, trouble shoot and repair complex electrical systems such as fire alarm, electronically controlled lighting systems and handicap operating doors in campus buildings. In addition, this position will respond to daily maintenance issues and emergencies as they arise. The electrical maintenance engineer will participate in the design, planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all electrical systems that serve campus facilities.




REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalency and must demonstrate significant experience in the maintenance and repair of building electrical systems, including high voltage electrical distribution systems. A four year apprenticeship certificate in the electrical trade and a Master Electrician license are preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Candidates must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend and evening hours. The successful candidate will be subject to a background check and driving records check as a condition of employment.
