Job Description

The Witt Laboratory at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport is seeking a highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral researcher to work in the field of cell biology. Applicants must have a PhD in cell/molecular biology and have experience working with S. cerevisiae. Successful candidates should have a proven track record of publication and excellent communication skills. Salary is commensurate with experience.
The focus of the position is to study the mechanism by which the Parkinson's disease protein alpha-synuclein affects the trafficking of cell-surface proteins. Yeast will be the model organism used for the studies.
