Job Description

The Department of Anatomy, Howard University College of Medicine, is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor position to contribute to the Health Sciences Teaching and Research Program. The candidate should have completed a Ph.D. and have postdoctoral experience in Anatomy, Cell Biology, Neurosciences, Evolutionary Biology, Developmental Biology, or a related field. Research using Genomics/Genetics or Stem Cell Biology to answer translational health questions is of particular interest. Candidates who have established an extramurally funded research program are especially encouraged to apply and will be required to continue their funded research program. Anatomy faculty with a teaching background in Gross Anatomy, Histology and/or Neurobiology instruction are preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to mentor Anatomy graduate students. The search committee will accept applications until the position(s) is (are) filled. Candidates are encouraged to submit applications beginning July 1, 2018.
