Position Title | Adjunct Faculty - Supply Chain Management |
Position Description | The Global Supply Chain (GSC) Management Program of the Department of Information Systems/Analytics/ Supply Chain Management at Rider University is seeking an adjunct to teach Introduction to Supply Chain Management (GSC 115) for the Fall 2024 beginning September 6, 2024. GSC 115 is an undergraduate survey course that covers the fundamentals of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. It is a course that is open to freshmen through senior students who take GSC 115 as either a business elective course or as the first course of the GSC major or GSC certificate programs.
GSC 115 Course Description (TTH 4:30 PM-6:00 PM) This course introduces students to components of global supply chains and issues of managing the global supply chain. It is designed as a survey course to give first or second year business students a general view of supply chain management at both domestic and international levels, as well as familiarize them with basic concepts and major challenges of supply chain management. Delivery of course material will include lectures and guest speakers from industry, and in-class logistics mini cases. |
Position Requirements | The successful candidate must possess an advanced degree (i.e., master’s level degree or higher) in supply chain management, business administration and/or a related field. Candidates must have demonstrated extensive logistics and supply chain management experience acquired through positions previously and/or currently held in industry, and candidates should be current on trends and innovations in this field. |
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience | Other professional work and activities in or related to the field of supply chain management, including participating in industry events will be considered a plus. |
