Position description for Theatre 221 Acting Lab: The Speaking Voice

Saint Mary's seeks an innovative instructor to teach Theatre 221 in Fall 2024.

Fridays, 12:05-1:20pm

This course will be taught on the Moraga campus, in person.

Introductory hands-on training in specialized performance skills and techniques. This course focuses on breath, the speaking voice, and text work for the actor.



Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: An advanced degree in Theatre performance (or commensurate professional experience)

We additionally require at least 3 years of experience working with undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have experience in a culturally diverse classroom setting, the ability to create a student-centered, interactive and collaborative learning environment, and a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

Candidates must reside in California.

Salary: $2,482 - $3,436 depending on qualifications

The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
