Description:Per course adjunct faculty for the Special Education program's course, SPED 496-01/SPED 596-01.

Qualifications:
SPED 496-01/SPED 596-01 - Health Education Mondays and Fridays 5:00PM-8:15PM 1 Unit
Health Education examines concepts of health and health education in the schools. Emphasis will be placed on current health issues for children and adolescents viewed in the context of child development; on the responsibilities of teachers and the school community in promoting child health; and on curricular strategies that contribute to the healthful behavior of children.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Special Education or related field

  • 5 years experience as a mild/moderate education specialist or school psychologist in K-12 settings

  • Experience with assessment procedures for determining eligibility (or continued eligibility) for special education services

  • Familiarity with the array of formal and informal assessment instruments and techniques used in K-12 settings
