The College of Business (COB) at the University of Louisville invites applicants for Instructional Assistants (IA's) to assist faculty teaching in the MSAA Program. The position is part-time, about 15 hours per week. Candidates should either have an MBA, MSAA or MSBA or should be currently enrolled in the MBA, MSAA or MSBA program at the COB. Students who either are recent graduates of the MBA, MSAA or MSBA program at COB or are in the latter semesters of the MBA or MSBA program at COB may apply with preference given to those who have served as an IA in the MBA or MSAA capstone courses previously.
Roles and duties would include, but not limited to assisting instructors in preparing and grading materials for classes such as handouts, presentations, exercises, etc. Attending classes to maintain familiarity with delivery content, issues, challenges, and any areas of ambiguity that students may have, responding to student inquiries and questions, tutoring during pre-scheduled hours, and grading using effective and detailed rubrics provided by the instructor.
